This dynamic Embassy building is located in a historic area of Ottawa, on a small site surrounded by residential property. The overriding design objective was to capture and project the energy and vision of the future, while reinforcing the character and unique attributes of the neighborhood. The building is necessarily set apart from its surroundings, with walls on three sides, but also fits in well, with an expansive, welcoming entry plaza, and an overall height and definition that is consistent with its locale.
