The Design of this fieldhouse on the Duluth Campus responds to the objective established by the University for the project: the building is to blend with adjacent Campus buildings; it must connect to an existing physical education building to allow circulation and to share rooms; and its structural system must be economical while accommodating the long span (200 ft) required to contain a 1/10 mile running track and play courts with 40' clear height.
