In this scheme, the floor plans have angles that echo the diagonal intersection of streets. By varying the heights of the buildings, a lively roofscape is produced that is sculptural and distinctive – a modern twist on the stepped tops of New York’s Art Deco skyscrapers of the 1920s and 1930s.
