CHILDREN'S THEATER CENTER
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Minneapolis Children's Theater facility was a major addition to the campus housing the Minneapolis Art Institute and the Minneapolis College of Design. The design was a collaboration between Kenzo Tange, the famous Japanese architect, and PDI as associate architects and architects of record. The end result is a facility that physically connects - and artistically interacts - with the adjacent arts complex, and, in its own right, is regarded as one of the finest children's theaters in the United States.
