Aware of the prestige and publicity surrounding the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, the client sponsored an international competition to design a monumental office complex near the site of the Games. This winning design was completed in 2007 and stands as a proud landmark, well-suited to its prime and highly visible location. It honors Chinese history as well by drawing on the ancient symbol of the lotus blossom for its design inspiration.
